We were wishing we were ugly like you.

I'm often asked "Krista. Where do you stand on the Darkskin/Lightskin debate?" by my Athiest Asian Philosopher friend. My answer?
Its ignorant and should be non-existant.

We're all Black, African-Americans. So why the HELL do we care so much about the shade of our skin? I also dislike people who think their better because their skin is lighter/darker.  Unfortunately, I see alot of this from Lightskinned African-Americans. (Before anyone goes off on me. I'm not saying ALL Lightskinned people are conceited. I know their not. SOME are. But not ALL. No serious, Some of ya'll would go off on a sister about this.)
But heres just a tiny message to those conceited lightskinned people that think their the shit for said reason only: I dont care if you can pass a paperbag test, that in no way, form, or fashion, Makes you better than ANYONE. And before people ragequit. heres another small message to my Dark/Brownskinned peoplee.
STOP BEING STUCK-UP. NO ONE CARES IF YOU GOT SEXY-COCO-CARAMEL SKIN. Sit down .__.

Before I end this small rant.... (Person messaged me on Facebook. It fucked up my concentration.) Why are we Brown-skinned African-Americans always forgotten in the Lightskinned/Darkskinned debate? Mostly because we're grouped under darkskin....

Why cant we all just be one race though? ever thought about that? Fuck the whole Lightskinned, Brownskinned, Darkskinned mess. Could I just be an African-American Teenaged female? Thanks. Oh- And I'd love to stop being compared to Lightskinned girls. We're all beautiful despite skin color .___.
